Seaside School Today

The next generation
The Next Generation

The family has used the Seaside School for family gatherings for over 30 years. Birthdays, Christmas Eve, Easter and informal reunions have been a tradition at the schoolhouse.

At other times, Seaside School has been a workshop for crafts projects because of the room to spread out.

In the 1970s, when coastal residents were trying to form community councils, the family offered Seaside School as a meeting place for San Gregorio Community Council. Representatives of San Mateo County government, State Parks and Recreation and the Coastal Commission as well as local residents signed the guest book that was passed around at these meetings.
